Charleston 4th of JulyNow that school is out, we can all relax, right? To a degree, yes, we all can. Now is the time to enjoy all of the wonderful things that Charleston has for us. Beaches, restaurants, shops, historical sites, and so much more. One thing to keep in mind this summer are the holidays that we celebrate at this time each year. We have Father’s Day, Labor Day, and of course, Independence Day. As you may know, when Charleston has a party, we have a party. You may be wondering how to have the best Charleston 4th of July so we at Infinity Realty have had a look at all of the different events being held here in Charleston for 4th of July so you can make the best choice for you.

  1. City of North Charleston 4th of July Festival– The City of North Charleston hosts an amazing 4th of July Festival at the Riverfront Park. The festival runs from 3 pm until 9:45 pm and will have food, drinks, bands, and more. There will be plenty of things to do for kids and adults alike. They boast having the biggest fireworks show in Charleston so be sure to stick around for that as well. While everything will be free, except for food and drinks, be sure to bring a lawn chair for everyone as no seating will be provided.
  2. Red, White, and Blue on the Green– This amazing celebration is held in Summerville and is also free. It will be held at Gahagan Park from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm and will feature lots of fun stuff for kids and adults to do. There will be games, jump castles, food, drinks, music, and their famous patriotic newspaper hats.
  3. 4th of July Blast at Patriots Point– If you are looking for the most popular Charleston 4th of July event, it’s this one. Going to see fireworks at Patriots Point has been a beloved pastime for decades here in Charleston. This year they will have many options for you to choose from. For $100, you can watch the fireworks from the deck of the USS Yorktown that also includes food and drinks as well as tables and chairs. For $35 you can still be on the deck of the USS Yorktown, however, you will have to provide your own chair and you can purchase food and drink. If neither of those sound good, you can also opt for general admission on the ground level.
  4. Independence Day Weekend at Middleton Place– If you enjoy the history that surrounds us in Charleston, then your Independence Day won’t be complete without a trip to Middleton Place. Each year, they celebrate this holiday with a look into the past with one of our locals who signed the Declaration of Independence, Arthur Middleton. Enjoy his home, land, and all of the wonderful historical significance of this time.
  5. Sea Stars and Stripes– The Aquarium also offers a fun Independence Day celebration amongst all of its inhabitants. Their event will be from 7 pm to 10 pm and will feature one of the best seats for fireworks as well as food and drinks. You can purchase your tickets through the Aquarium.
